Conte for Eriksen’s feet

first_imgThe idea is that it is key in the team, but the truth is that they still have no role. Meanwhile, Conte himself wanted to take pressure from the Danish after the match, although at the same time he dropped a message that sounded a reprimand to some: “Eriksen? I have to find balance, we can’t think that a player can change the fate of the team. We get here without Eriksen.”There is still a lot of season for the Danish to prove that it is worth what has been paid for him, especially if we take into account that the center of the field is one of the positions in which Inter interferes most.Conte saw ‘concealed’ goals concededAntonio Conte spoke after the defeat against Lazio (2-1) of the details that consolidated the defeat and explained that despite the equality of the match, two “very avoidable” plays threw the team’s work on the ground: “We conceded two goals and the game was there. The details become decisive and we were not impeccable. In the goals we have shown naivety but they are part of the growth process. The boys must continue working and improving to face all situations in the way “We were scared today. We are fighting at the top of the standings and having reached this clash should make us proud, but we still have a long way to go. The match was matched because neither team dominated, but He decided on two very avoidable goals. Lack of communication with the goalkeeper in the first goal? I don’t want to go into details, but we have to be calmer. We are enraged. The boys are making their way and we have room for improvement. A player must trying to improve. Not being afraid means growing in personality and we were afraid. Sometimes, when you win, you think about defending the result and I think that Better defense is a good attack. It is true that there was pressure in relation to this match, but we continue to believe in what we do. A series* Data updated as of February 17, 2020 The coach wants to introduce him to his system little by little and proof of this are the participations he has had so far. He has not yet played an entire hour in a match, so he has not gone up to his particular locker or goals or assists. He debuted in the cup before the Fiorentina and left 24 minutes. Then he made his record of participation in the league against Udinese with 58 minutes. He later reaped his first loss to the cup Naples adding 24 minutes on the grass, and in the derby before the Milan He was 18 minutes in the field. Yesterday, when they were already losing 2-1 against the Lazio, Conte took him 13 minutes and made a great shot whose rejection ended in the goal of a teammate who would be canceled out of play. 24 Christian Eriksen dressed for the fifth time yesterday the shirt of Inter Milan. The Danish midfielder left the Tottenham ahead of time to embark on a new adventure, knowing that he was not going to start with Jose Mourinho because his contract expired in summer. But at the moment it does not finish adapting to the team of Antonio Conte, although he is taking advantage of the minutes he has.last_img read more

Husband, accomplice for court today

first_imgBabita Sarjou’s murderThe estranged husband of Babita Sarjou and his accomplice are expected to be arraigned today for the woman’s murder, after her skeletal remains were discovered in the man’s Seaforth Street, Campbellville, Georgetown,Dead: Babita Sarjouyard on Sunday afternoon – six years after she went missing.Anand Narine, the estranged husband, and his accomplice, who were arrested on Saturday, allegedly confessed to the woman’s murder and later led investigators to the spot where they buried her body back in 2010.It was during the search of the identified spot that investigators came upon what appeared to be a shallow grave. Digging further, they found two bones and a short while after, Police found most of the skeletal remains. Pieces of clothing were also found in the grave.Police made the dreadful discovery some two days after taking into custody the woman’s husband and another close friend of hers, after informing her mother, Champa Seonarine that they were reopening the case. The statutory 72-hour detention period without charge expired on Monday, but Police moved to the courts and were able to secure an extension. Crime Chief Wendell Blanhum had earlier revealed that samples of the woman’s remains will be sent to neighbouring Trinidad and Tobago for DNA testing. However, the woman’s relatives were able to identify some belongings found with her remains, including her bag and clothing.Sarjou, 28, mother of a now 10-year-old son, who used to reside at Timehri Public Road, East Bank Demerara, left her desk and computer unattended at work in November 2010, never to return. Her family and the Police had since been searching for the missing woman. In early April, Seonarine, along with officials from the Caribbean American Domestic Violence Awareness (CADVA) organisation, had again petitioned for the case to be reopened. Seonarine said all she needed was some closure. The dead woman’s mother at the beginning of the investigations had voiced her belief that her daughter’s estranged husband had something to do with her disappearance. It was also reported that there were several instances of domestic violence and reports made to both the Kitty and Timehri Police Stations by Sarjou against her husband. In 2010, during the initial investigations, the Police held her husband for questioning for 72 hours and then released him.last_img read more

Caretaker Govt says release of US$50M based on Guyana reaching forest targets

first_img…achieved between 2010-2015 under PPP regimesFollowing the release of US$50 million in funds earmarked for Guyana by Norway, the Government has noted that the release of the funds was based on the country having reached its low deforestation targets.Guyana has always had historically low deforestation ratesThis was explained by the Natural Resources Ministry in a statement on Wednesday, in which it expressed pleasure at the release of the funds. The Ministry also noted that the sum was the final instalment on the 2009 Guyana Reducing Emissions from Deforestation and forest Degradation (REDD+) Investment Fund pledge. The funds’ release came after an agreement was made on the margins of the United Nations Climate Summit in New York between Guyana’s representative, Dawn Hastings-Williams and Norway’s Minister for Climate and Environment, Ola Elvestuen on Monday.“Both Ministers agreed that in accordance with the bilateral agreement between the two countries, Guyana has met its commitments and, therefore, Norway would release the final payments,” the Ministry said.Guyana received commendations from Norway for its continued low deforestation rates and its forest governance. It is understood that the disbursement of the monies will be made to the Guyana REDD+ Investment Fund (GRIF) administered by the World Bank.Guyana’s contemporary Green State Development Strategy (GSDS) was based on the model provided by the Low Carbon Development Strategy that was initiated by the former People’s Progressive Party/Civic (PPP/C) Administration. It is a framework that is supposed to incorporate economic development programmes with strategies to promote the fight against global warming. Along the way, these programmes are supposed to be funded from the GRIF.Guyana has always had a track record of low deforestation rates, a fact that led to the actual setting-up of the GRIF in the first place under the previous Government. In fact, a study done by the Guyana Forestry Commission (GFC) back in 2011 had found that the deforestation rates were a mere 0.06 per cent for 2009 to 2010.While this miniscule deforestation rate was attributed primarily to mining activities, it has been acknowledged that mining is a crucial part of Guyana’s economy, representing 21 per cent of Gross Domestic Product (GDP) in 2012.At present, however, the accessing and sourcing of money from the GRIF will be complicated owing to the current political climate. It has now been over nine months since a No-Confidence Motion was passed against the coalition Government. The Constitution of Guyana stipulates that elections must be held within three months of the passage of such a motion. The constitutional deadline for holding elections, as set out by the Caribbean Court of Justice (CCJ), had expired as of September 18. When it made its June 18 ruling on the no-confidence cases, the CCJ had said that the effects of the No- Confidence Motion were on pause while the cases were being litigated. That process, CCJ President Adrian Saunders had clearly said, was no longer on pause following the Court’s June 18, 2019 ruling, which upheld the validity of the No-Confidence Motion and thus triggered the need for fresh elections. In keeping with the constitutional three months’ provision once a No-Confidence Motion is passed, this would mean that General and Regional Elections should be held on or before September 18, 2019.An election was never held although President David Granger on Wednesday announced a date for the “earliest possible” holding of elections. He stopped short of naming an actual election date, a point referenced by the parliamentary Opposition.last_img read more

NEW OWNER FOR BANK WHICH PAYS €73K PER YEAR RENT

first_imgONE OF County Donegal’s most iconic bank buildings has a new owner – with a guaranteed rent of more than €70k per year. The Bank of Ireland on the Diamond in Donegal Town was originally sold by the bank for €1.9M – with them staying as tenants – back in 2007.But in a cruel irony which mirrored the country’s dive into the recession the building end up in the hands of a receiver. And it was sold this week for €1M less than its 2007 price at €900,000.But that was €100k more than the asking price set by estate agent Bannons for the 278sq metre building in the centre of Donegal Town. The new owner is guaranteed a rent of €73,105 under a lease which has 10 more years to run.  NEW OWNER FOR BANK WHICH PAYS €73K PER YEAR RENT was last modified: November 7th, 2012 by BrendaShare this:Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window)Click to share on Twitter (Opens in new window)Click to share on LinkedIn (Opens in new window)Click to share on Reddit (Opens in new window)Click to share on Pocket (Opens in new window)Click to share on Telegram (Opens in new window)Click to share on WhatsApp (Opens in new window)Click to share on Skype (Opens in new window)Click to print (Opens in new window) Tags:NEW OWNER FOR BANK WHICH PAYS €73K PER YEAR RENTlast_img read more

Donegal islanders on the look-out for new parish priest

first_imgTory Island has launched a search for a new parish priest. It follows the departure of Fr Kieran Creagh, who came to Tory for a few days and ended up staying four years.Kind of Tory Island, Patsy Dan Rogers, said any new priest will need a stomach for stormy seas. “We’re looking forward to the priests who are going to come to the island on the weekend for Sunday Mass, weather permitting,” he told the BBC.“We are happy enough with that, because we know that priests are scarce and we’re very lucky with this arrangement.”Irish is the main language on the island, and Patsy Dan believes that Fr Creagh’s decision to learn Irish put him in good stead with the locals“We loved him very much, he was a powerful priest for special feast days. He loved the island very much, the quietness and what have you. “He settled in like a native and we loved the way he went to learn some Gaelic as well.”Along with the Irish language, Christianity goes back a long way on Tory. The remnants of a sixth century monastery founded by Saint Columba still lie on the island. With that in mind, the King of Tory – who is a painter by trade – was optimistic that fate would deliver yet another dedicated clergyman.“There is a strong religion on the island and a strong language and culture on the island and I’m very hopeful that will continue. “One never knows, but the times bring us lots of different things,” he added.A spokesperson for the Bishop’s House in Letterkenny confirmed that priests would operate in the parish by rota until a permanent replacement could be found.Donegal islanders on the look-out for new parish priest was last modified: October 11th, 2016 by StephenShare this:Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window)Click to share on Twitter (Opens in new window)Click to share on LinkedIn (Opens in new window)Click to share on Reddit (Opens in new window)Click to share on Pocket (Opens in new window)Click to share on Telegram (Opens in new window)Click to share on WhatsApp (Opens in new window)Click to share on Skype (Opens in new window)Click to print (Opens in new window)last_img read more

Spiritual Benefits of Physical Fitness

first_imgSome Christians look down on exercise as a carnal thing that profits little. Can physical fitness affect the spiritual life?In Christian theology, the body is carnal, fleshly, fallen, sensual, decaying, and doomed to the grave. But that’s only part of the story. We are also “fearfully and wonderfully made,” Psalm 139:14 states. Knowing that death comes to all, and that our citizenship is in heaven where we will enjoy resurrected bodies no longer afflicted by sin, how should Christ followers evaluate their priorities when it comes to care of the body? The Apostle Paul warned Timothy, “bodily discipline is only of little profit, but godliness is profitable for all things, since it holds promise for the present life and also for the life to come” (I Timothy 4:8). But in that same chapter, he praised discipline, and in his second letter, he encouraged Timothy to be strong, using athletics as a positive analogy of striving for the prize (II Timothy 2). In Galatians 5:2, he listed self-control as one of the fruits of the Spirit. In II Corinthians 9:25, he admonished his readers to develop self-control, once again using the analogy of athletics in a positive way. The writer of Hebrews, similarly, encouraged his readers to “run with endurance the race that is set before us,” comparing spiritual growth to athletic competition (Hebrews 12:1). Success in physical fitness obviously requires discipline, self-control and endurance. Although there is no command in the Bible to work out in the modern sense, maybe it’s fair to see godliness in these requirements for exercise, and also to consider how bodily health enhances spiritual health and ministry effectiveness.Thinking of taking a walk every day? Six reasons why it’s good for you (Medical Xpress). Janet Viljoen motivates us all to get off the couch and work those legs. Here’s her list:It doesn’t cost a thing. It prevents (or delays) Type II diabetes. It decreases blood pressure. It decreases body fat.It reduces symptoms of depression. It has no adverse side effects.Viljoen was obviously not preparing a Bible study lesson, but think about how effective a Christ-follower would be with preventable Type II diabetes, high blood pressure, obesity, depression and related side effects. Maybe developing self-control enough to walk each day with endurance and perseverance could provide spiritual benefits, too.Outdoor instruction makes students more open to learning (Science Daily). Christian schools and home-schooling parents place a high premium on the proper education of youth. Here’s another study, this one conducted in Norway, that shows students learn better in an outdoor setting.Lead author Dettweiler from the study published in Frontiers in Psychology concludes that outdoor instruction with explorative learning methodology significantly promotes the attitudes of students toward learning, i.e. their intrinsic motivation. ‘Explorative’ means nothing more than simply giving students the freedom to discover the subject matter through independently organized experiments. These outdoor dynamics, which provide a strong boost to more situational interest for science and engagement with the subject, can be evoked in occasional outdoor instruction sessions as well.Step up your strength training (Medical Xpress). This short article reminds readers of the need for weight training, and how to do it right. Without stating the principle overtly, this article harmonizes on a fundamental tone: if a muscle exists, it ought to be maintained properly. That fits in with the “fearfully and wonderfully made” concept.ConclusionsIf it comes to a choice of going to the gym or developing godly character, there’s a clear choice: godliness lasts for eternity, but the body does not. We shouldn’t view this choice, however, in either-or, black-and-white terms. Why not do both if you can? Sometimes exercise can be a means to developing godliness, including the traits of self-control, endurance and gratitude for our wonderfully-made physical gifts. And could there be a possibility that low fitness could compromise our witness? How attractive is an evangelist who is morbidly obese, sickly and addicted to substances? Such a person walks around as if wearing a poster, “I have no self-control.” Is that an effective witness? (speaking here of preventable conditions.)Clearly some do not have a choice. In the upcoming movie Tortured for Christ (premiering tomorrow, March 5), exercise was pretty low on the priority list for pastor Richard Wurmbrand, locked in solitary confinement and beaten in prison for 14 years. Paraplegic Joni Eareckson Tada blesses the world through her godliness and countenance in spite of physical disability. Better a weakling going to heaven than a bodybuilder doomed to hell. We all know that. The priority is clear, but science shows so many benefits of exercise, it’s time for Christ followers to stop using I Timothy 4:8 as an excuse for laziness. The sluggard of Proverbs is not a good model.Taking walks, lifting weights and being fit can enhance one’s joy and contribute to an effective witness. The Bible does not condemn might any more than it condemns wisdom—just boasting about it (Jeremiah 9:23-24). Many times, godly men and women are commanded to be strong (e.g., I Corinthians 16:13, “Act like men, be strong”). One of our staff was led to Christ by the Power Team, a ministry that uses muscle and feats of strength to attract young people to the gospel. The Lord can use all types, weak or mighty. While “not many mighty are called” (I Corinthians 1:26), some are. Paul himself was strong enough to walk hundreds of miles all over the Roman empire. Think of all the positive references in the Bible to “mighty men of valor” (e.g., the angel to Gideon, “The Lord is with you, O mighty man of valor,” Judges 6:12). God even uses that label for Himself (Isaiah 42:13). Strength is honored in the Bible. We are commanded to be strong, to the extent we can be.If exercise can improve your mood and your joy, why not make it part of your routine? Paul didn’t say it profits nothing. He said it profits little compared to godliness. And he implied it does profit in this life. Keeping it in balance, physical fitness can increase your joy and your godliness. It may prolong your life, and with it, your effective witnessing days. You are more likely to be a grateful, joyful person if you take care of what body type you have. Even if you don’t have much health now, remember the advice of Martin Luther King: “If you can’t fly then run, if you can’t run then walk, if you can’t walk then crawl, but whatever you do you have to keep moving forward.” That applies physically as well as spiritually, because we are created wholes of spirit, mind and body. Build it all up! That’s what the word ‘edify’ means. Paul included the body in his prayer to the Thessalonians: “Now may the God of peace himself sanctify you completely, and may your whole spirit and soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ” (I Thess. 5:23).Recommended Resource: The new CreationSafaris.com website, a sister ministry of CEH, offers resources for outdoor education and worship, with videos and lesson plans already posted (see this one on Spinoffs of Creation Science), and more coming. The Camera Gear You Need for Shooting Wedding Videos

first_imgObviously the most important thing you need to shoot a wedding is a camera. Cameras deserve a post of their own, like what kind of camera is best for a startup company, or the best cameras under $1000, or what questions you should ask when purchasing a camera. The same goes for choosing to buy lenses over cameras. In this post we will be focusing on the support gear you will need.As far as cameras and lenses are concerned, just have a backup camera ready. While shooting wedding video, you should at least have two cameras. Three is the best option, which gives you two to shoot with and a backup.StabilizationJust like any video production, camera stabilization is key. If the couple wanted shaky camcorder footage, they would have just asked that random family member who has a camcorder. Since they hired you, you’ll need to make sure your footage is as steady as can be. Here are some considerations for camera stabilization.TripodImage via ManfrottoThe tripod is the golden standard of all stable footage. Users think they need that latest and greatest stabilizer toy to get the best footage, but that couldn’t be further from the truth. A solid tripod and fluid head will do more for your video than practically any of the following suggestions. The added benefit is the ability to setup a tripod and let a camera run while you attend to other shots. It also makes a great assistant during the ceremony. You can set a tripod in the back of the venue and just let the camera roll while you work on another camera angle.MonopodImage via B&HNow that you have a camera on a tripod recording the ceremony on its own, you will need something to hold the other camera you should be shooting with. One of the best (and often cheaper) options is a monopod.Monopods are great for a multitude of reasons. They are compact, lightweight, and very versatile. Many carbon fiber monopods can hold an incredible amount of weight. With the ability to quickly adjust the height, you can go from a low-angle shot to a high-angle shot in seconds. They are also great for maneuvering through crowds. In very limited space, you can still shoot incredible footage and then get out of the way in an instant.Handheld StabilizerThese tools are the Steadicam, Glidecam, Grip Handles, Merlin, etc. This category includes pretty much any stabilizer that does not go over your shoulder and does not require battery or computer assistance to operate. Obviously they are handheld.Handheld stabilizers are best used during the reception. They capture fantastic dancing footage. You can work your way in and around the dance floor. The handheld stabilizers are also good to use during portraits, as you can follow the couple and photographer as they take pictures. Also, here’s a pro tip: DO NOT FOLLOW A BRIDE DOWN THE AISLE WITH ONE OF THESE! There is nothing worse than a videographer or photographer getting in the way of the ceremony. This is not your moment! Stay out of the way! You are supposed to capture the wedding, not be part of it.Note that this category did not include 3-axis gimbals. While great for filmmaking and indie productions, 3-axis gimbals are not the best for wedding video. There are multiple reasons why gimbals are not always the best choice. Based on the size alone, you cannot discretely move around a dance floor with a MoVI or Ronin.SliderImage via Kessler CraneA camera slider performs magically when it comes to b-roll. You can easily attach it to a tripod and run around the venue capturing everything from exteriors to table centerpieces. Adding the slightest amount of movement can make footage much more intriguing. You can slide along the entryway table capturing the signature book and photos. You can slide into an entryway to help transition from one location to another. You can even use a slider to capture a jib shot. AudioHow you capture audio is going to depend on the type of camera you are using. As DSLRs are the most common cameras used to shoot wedding video, you will need multiple audio sources. If you are using a traditional video camera, you may have built-in microphones or the ability to plug in a mic via XLR.RecorderYou are going to need a versatile audio recorder. You want something that has built-in microphones, accepts external microphones, and allows you to plug into a soundboard. If you are working with a great DJ, then you can easily plug into the DJ soundboard (if they let you). Be wary of this, as no two DJs are alike. You could end up getting a terrible mix that you can’t use. Be sure you have plenty of backups in place as well, like an audio feed to your camera or an additional recorder.Wireless Lav MicrophonesTo capture quality audio while being as discrete as possible, you will need a wireless lavalier microphone. The best option is to attach a lav to the officiant and a second lav on the groom. They can easily put the transmitter in their pockets. If you only have one lav, the officiant is often the safer bet. They are the ones talking during the whole ceremony. Be sure to tell the officiant they need to be close to the couple so you can pick up the vows.Don’t even try to attach one to the bride. It should go without saying, but there is no way they spent all that money on their beautiful white dress for you to attach an ugly black transmitter to the back of it.On-Board Camera MicrophoneIf your camera has a microphone built in, be sure you have it recording. Even if you aren’t planning on using it, it’s good to have a backup. Also, it will help you sync the footage when you are editing. If you are using a DSLR, you will need to attach a microphone to get passable audio. It should be noted that adding a mic to a DSLR still isn’t going to be the best option. The cameras were not designed to capture optimal sound. Just use it as a backup.Audio CablesMake sure you have plenty of cables handy. You will at least want XLR, 1/4 inch to 3.5mm, and RCA audio cables. You will need these to plug into the DJ soundboard, any venue speakers, and into the audio recorder.LightingYou won’t be setting up any three-point lighting during the ceremony or reception. However, you will want something you can use in a pinch. The best option is to use an LED light that you can use on camera, handheld, or on a stand.A small LED light is portable and easy to toss in your bag. Odds are you won’t really need it until the reception. The DJ’s light setup may provide a great look, if not just have a light ready for any low light situations.Miscellaneous Support GearAlongside all of this large camera gear, here are some of the smaller things to take into consideration. This camera support gear will make everything go much smoother.Quick Release SystemNeeding to rapidly switch between your support gear, you will need to make the process as easy as possible. Look into using a quick release system on all of your stabilizers.Don’t waste time attaching your camera to different systems. Make sure you decide on a single quick release system, that way you can leave a quick release plate on your camera and just quickly snap into place.Memory Cards & CaseImage via ShutterstockYou will need a ton of memory cards. As mentioned before, shooting a wedding video is just like shooting a small-budget film. Avoid trying to shoot everything on a large card. Having multiple cards may be seem tedious, but if something goes wrong it’s easier to lose 16GB of footage rather than 64GB.You will also want to keep track of which cards you have already used. You can lock SD cards, but you may forget to do so. One of the easiest things to do is putting all your cards in a case in the same direction before the shoot. Then as you use a card, simply put it back in the case upside down or backwards.FiltersImage via ShutterstockMany weddings are going to be shot outdoors. Be sure to have filters for each of your lenses. Here are five filters you should have in your kit.Batteries (All Kinds)Image via ShutterstockHave plenty of batteries for all of your varying needs. Camera batteries, AA, and 9V batteries for your audio recorder or microphones, as well as batteries for your lights. If you don’t have enough batteries, be sure to set up a charging station so the batteries will be good to go when you need them.ToolsHere are some essential tools to have in your bag: Gaff Tape, Extension Cord, Surge Protector, Allen Wrench, Screwdriver, Multi-purpose Tool. All of these will come in handy at some point. Make sure you have the right sizes and types of tools for your gear. It’ll be hard to tighten a flathead screw with a phillips screwdriver. Now that you have the gear down, be sure you know how to shoot a wedding and edit the wedding highlight trailer. If you need help finding the right music for wedding trailers, be sure to checkout PremiumBeat’s wedding playlists. Shooting a great wedding video requires as much gear as shooting a small film. Here are some considerations for everything from camera stabilization to screwdrivers.Cover image via Pack Config When shooting a wedding video, you may be overwhelmed by the amount of gear you actually need. Here are some of the best items for shooting the big day. These camera gear options are not only compact, they’re ready to be used in the fast-paced wedding environment.Camera (and Lenses)last_img read more
